These are simple lessons with information about planning, planting and the easiest vegetables to harvest with a class of school aged children. It includes ideas for weekly activities and garden tasks to do with the participating children. It includes a Journal template that can be used by the participating children to document garden changes and tasks accomplished throughout the planting and harvest season. There is an optional final activity to recap the season’s harvest allowing the participants to identify success as well as learning during the spring and summer. An instructor's guide, participant handout, and helpful templates are included as part of the kit.
