Each of the series of eight courses that make up the Chef-K curriculum teaches kids about an array of topics—from health, nutrition, and food safety to hands-on food preparation techniques.
Whatever your situation, Chef-K has a course to fit your organization's needs. Complete training instructions help you deliver a seamless lesson to kids aged from 7 to 18, regardless of your culinary skills. We've even developed courses for organizations without kitchens.
We offer two convenient ways for you to add the Chef-K culinary education program to your organization's program for kids:
- License a Train-the-Trainer turn-key program. Chef-K trains your staff and licenses the program to you.
- Hire Chef-K to come teach at your facility. We take on the preparation and training, giving you more time to focus on your core responsibilities
Trainers
Chef-K offers six special occasion cooking activities including Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Winter Holiday season. Each two-hour activity includes hands-on food preparation and tasting session. Each class includes recipe, shopping list, tool list and setup. These activities are perfect for cooking clubs, or teen groups that have already taken one of the summer camp series. If participants have less experience in the kitchen, instructor just has to do a bit more knife preparation and then everyone can pitch in to do the remaining kitchen duties.
